http://www.adriaticluxuryhotels.com/e... We stayed a week here at the Dubrovnik Palace Hotel situated on the beautiful peninsula of Lapad. The hotel's situation was superb and the views were just fabulous! However, the hotel doesn't deserve its 5* status - even though Heads of State have stayed here for a summit! There was no 'atmosphere' in the hotel whatsoever, especially in the evenings, and the food was very disappointing, so we gave up on dinner and ate out every night. We visited Dubrovnik old city a few times and loved it - it musn't be missed! Croatia has the most beautiful stunning coastline and we would return. Beware though as August was VERY hot. We would only consider returning again in May/June or Sept/Oct.
