From Batumi to Svaneti (Mestia). Part 1/3. September 2023

You can’t visit Georgia without visiting Svaneti. Even the majestic district of Kazbegi does not provide such a scope of mountains, greenery, communication with authentic residents who are not tortured by endless traffic (hello, Kazbegi). This is the first of three parts of the 16-hour trans-Svan ring (Batumi) - Poti - Mestia - Ushguli - Zagari pass - Lower Svaneti - Kutaisi - Poti - (Batumi). Due to the large size of the video, I tried to cut out almost everything on the plain, with the exception of Poti-Zhvari (entrance to Upper Svaneti). The total travel time from Batumi to Mestia is exactly 5 hours (minus stops).
