Plastic Omnium Urban Systems gets to grips with London’s grime

In March 2017, hundreds of large-capacity underground waste containers around London received a thorough valeting, as Plastic Omnium Urban Systems’ specialist cleaning teams arrived from the company’s French headquarters and got to grips with the London grime. The teams were provided as an integral part of our service to our local authority, registered social landlord and property management company clients. And each team was supported by a purpose-built 22-tonne truck, which carried up to 1,700 litres of water for cleaning and a hydraulic crane which was used to lift each container out of its mounting. Plastic Omnium’s cleaning service prolongs the operational life of each underground container, helps residents to keep their environments clean and illustrates why the company - whose British base is in Oldbury, West Midlands - is achieving such success in the UK market.
