Kris Gledhill reflects on the rules we have created for corporations. They focus on profits not stewardship. In light of many concerns around the overuse of resources, is this sensible? Kris suggests that we need to reprogram the ways corporations operate as a central plank of creating a sustainable future. Kris Gledhill is an academic lawyer, who wants to put humanity’s collective wisdom to work to review policies through the lens of the international human rights framework. Until 2006 Kris worked as a barrister in London specialising in representing detainees, and wherever possible making use of human rights arguments. Now he teaches various aspects of criminal and human rights law as a Professor at AUT Law School, as well as at various Universities outside New Zealand. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
