Use this link to get your discount: https://www.carcover.com/?via=MyOldCar In this episode I provide the history of the Mitsubishi Galant, which evolved over 9 generations from 1969 to 2012. Starting out as an economy car that was soon also sold by Chrysler as the Colt, it would also spawn other Chrysler rebadges, such as the Dodge Challenger and Plymouth Sapporo. In 1988 it would offer a VR-4 performance model that was a homologation to compete in World Rally racing, and helped bring Mitsubishi's average buyer age down to the lowest in the industry. But by its last generation starting in 2004, it lost the VR-4 model and was strictly a family-oriented luxury sedan, and couldn't compete with so many other similar competitors, leading to its cancellation in 2012.
