In this video, I explain how to clean newly purchased aquarium substrate (sand and/or gravel). If you don't clean this properly, your brand new tank will be cloudy for a couple of days. Please note that some brands of substrate are pre-washed. You don't need to wash this kind of substrate. How to know if it's pre-washed?
