Jianshui Zhu Family Garden, located at No. 16 Hanlin Street, Jianshui County, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province (near Shuyuan Street), is a home and ancestral hall built by the brothers Zhu Weiqing, a local gentry in the late Qing Dynasty. Jianshui Zhu Family Garden covers a total area of more than 20,000 square meters, with a construction area of more than 5,000 square meters. It faces southeast and northwest and includes two parts: the home and the ancestral hall. The main building of Jianshui Zhu Family Garden is an asymmetrical layout of "three vertical and four horizontal". The main axis is arranged in sequence with a pond, a front garden, a first, second, and third courtyard, and a back garden. It is a typical group of buildings in Jianshui area with "five rooms, six ears, five halls, a large patio and four small patios" and a combination of residential courtyards in parallel rows. The overall building structure is rigorous. It is a large-scale traditional residential building in Jianshui and even Honghe Prefecture with a unique architectural style and rich in the charm of private gardens in southern Yunnan. It is of great value to the study of the residential buildings in southern Yunnan at that time. Historical evolution: In the early years of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1875), Jianshui Zhujia Garden was built. In the second year of Emperor Xuantong of the Qing Dynasty (1910), Jianshui Zhujia Garden was completed. In 1998, Jianshui County People's Government repaired Jianshui Zhujia Garden.
