In times of economic distress, dividend investors often ask the question: is my dividend portfolio safe? Not all dividend companies perform well during economic downturns or recessions. ETFs or index funds focused on dividend growth are not always immune to dividend cuts. In times of high market volatility, there is no wonder people are asking "Is my dividend safe?" or "do you think company x will cut their dividend?"
