ENG Sub Lights on Rosarno - Ibrahim's Story

"Oltre il ghetto. Storie di Libertà" is a storytelling contest – launched as part of the Su.Pr.Eme Italia Project (The South as main Player in overcoming Emergencies in the context of severe exploitation and marginality of migrant citizens, regularly living in the 5 least developed regions), funded by the AMIF – Emergency Funds (AP2019) of the European Commission – DG Migration and Home Affairs. The contest aims at raising awareness within the local communities on the theme of labour exploitation of immigrants in agriculture, legality, reception, and social justice. Su.Pr.Eme Italia (The South as main Player in overcoming Emergencies in the context of severe exploitation and marginality of migrant citizens, regularly living in the 5 least developed regions) is part of the Three-Year Plan to tackle labour exploitation in agriculture and the gangmaster phenomenon, specifically the emergency response interventions in the areas to great criticality in Puglia, Calabria, Basilicata, Sicilia, and Campania. The project is funded by the AMIF – Emergency Funds (AP2019) of the European Commission - DG Migration and Home Affairs. The Programme is led by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies - DG Migration (Lead partner) assisted by the Puglia Region (Coordinating Partner) and in partnership with the Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, and Sicilia Regions, the National Labour Inspectorate, the IOM, and the NOVA National Consortium.
