Return to Botswana Part 1 | Arrival in Johannesburg, Journey to Kasane & Into Zimbabwe Description: Welcome to Part 1 of our "Return to Botswana" series! In this episode, we kick off our adventure by arriving at Johannesburg's O.R. Tambo International Airport. After an overnight stay at the cozy Sunrock Guest House, we continue our journey with Airlink to Kasane. Once there, we rent a rugged Hilux from Bushlore, do some essential shopping, and drive towards the beautiful Senyati Safari Camp. Senyati Safari Camp is situated in the Lesoma Valley, Northern Botswana, just 20km from Kasane. The camp offers a unique safari experience with its self-catering chalets and private campsites, each equipped with its own ablution facility. The highlight of Senyati is its waterhole, frequented by a variety of wildlife including elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and more. Guests can enjoy the view from the "bar with the best view in the world" or take photos from the underground elephant hide. From Senyati, we cross the border into Zimbabwe and begin our scenic drive towards Hwange National Park. Our destination is the peaceful Silwane campsite, nestled on the edge of the park. After settling in, we prepare for an exciting game drive the next day—where we’re rewarded with an unforgettable sighting of a pride of lions in their natural habitat.
