Digging on Dry Land for Prehistoric Shark Teeth

What better way to start a new year of shark tooth digging than at a new site? Diva had some friends in town and she promised them a shark tooth dig, but there was only one problem. We didn't have a good site. So we split up and went out exploring and thankfully I ended up coming across this spot. The formation there is greyish fine grained sand with a thick black lag deposit mixed with quartz. The teeth are worn but thankfully present. Our shovels cut through it like a hot knife through butter which was a nice change from chopping thick roots with an axe and swinging a mattock to power through thick clay. It has been a while since ‪@AncientAdventures‬ and I had a new site to dig so we hung out all day, way past dark til we had our fill of digging and enough teeth to actually prove we spent a whole day digging.
