I love this electric pump. I've tried so many different brands and had issues with almost every other electric pump for inflatable SUP's out there. COMMON ISSUES WITH OTHER ELECTRIC PUMPS They were either WAY too slow, didn't connect to the valve on my boards properly or got too hot and burned out. I even had one get so hot that it melted the hose! I had been waiting for a good high-powered electric pump for SUP's for years and am thrilled to finally have one that works as it should. POWERFUL AND FUNCTIONAL The Shark II is powerful, it comes with all the valve adapters you need for inflatable and inflatable SUP, an inflatable kayak or even an air mattress. SPEED Speed wise I find it takes about 6-8 minutes to inflate a board to 15 PSI. On average my ISUP's take just over 7 minutes to inflate to 15 PSI with the Shark. FEATURES Included on the Shark II pump is: An easy to read digital display so you can set the PSI level and watch the progress. An auto-off function so the pump shuts off automatically once it reaches the target air pressure. The ability to inflate up to 20 PSI. A dual-stage motor making it powerful enough to inflate high-pressure boards fairly fast. A deflate function. Connect the hose on the pump to the other connector to use it to deflate your board quickly. COOLING SYSTEM However the most important feature is the built-in cooling system. When the pump starts to get hot the cooling system clicks in and cools it down so that it is able to keep inflating to your target air pressure. With this cooling system the pump never gets too hot to touch - as some others do, even when inflating multiple boards. I found that when inflating 3 or more boards it worked best by giving it a rest of a minute or two in between boards so that the cooling system could do it's job. It works great! PORTABLE The pump itself is quite portable. It has a built-in carry handle making it easy to carry and it is very lightweight at only 3.6 lbs. It doesn't come with a carry bag but can easily be carried with your ISUP in the backpack that comes with your board.
