Summary: A load planner will work with management and operation team members to plan trains based on established loading and unloading schedules while utilizing a computer application to perform the planning per the railroad procedures. Responsibilities: • Verifies inbound units on incoming trains and pre-plans the outbound units to be loaded on the train. • Will research and fix issues with container status to ensure proper handling. • Utilizes the computer system to ensure proper containers are planned for the specific railcars while also planning outbound destinations for railcars. • Complete reports to show yard status and planning. • Provide yarding instructions for train crews. • Provides a daily email to give an overview of all activity performed by the crew in the yard.
