Colovrat/Lig Nella Prima Guerra Mondiale rappresentava la terza linea di difesa dell’esercito italiano. Il terreno presenta resti di trincee e di piazzole per mitragliatrici, obici e cannoni che erano puntati verso la prima linea austro-ungarica e sulla via di rifornimento che collegava Tolmino con la valle del Baĉa. Dopo lo sfondamento di Caporetto un battaglione tedesco guidato dal Tenente Erwin Rommel in pochi giorni travolse le difese italiane e conquistò le posizioni. I sentieri e i manufatti bellici sono stati restaurati dalla Fondazione “Poti miru v Posoĉju” di Caporetto. Il santuario di Liga, costruito nel XVI sec, contiene una “Madonna con Bambino”, copia di un’omonima statua venerata nella Stiria a St. Polten. Colovrat/Lig was the third line of defense of the Italian army in the First World War. The land has the remains of trenches and of emplacement machine guns, howitzers and cannons that were pointed at the austro-hungarian forefront and at the supply route that connected Tolmin with the valley of Baĉa. After the breakingthrough at Caporetto/Kobarid a german battalion led by Lieutenant Erwin Rommel in a few days swept the Italian defenses and conquered military positions. The paths and artifacts of war have been restored by the Foundation "Poti miru v Posočju” of Caporetto. In the sanctuary of Lig, built in the sixteenth century, there is a “Virgin with Child”, a copy of an statue with the same name venerated at St. Pölten (Styria).
