BSF will feature a live musical band. The event will be followed by the Change of Guard within handshaking distance of the Indian and Pakistani forces. Soldiers from the both the countries will march in a perfect drill. The Beating Retreat ceremony has been jointly performed by both the Asian neighbours since 1959. They conduct the Beating Retreat ceremony twice a year.
