Driving Quality Medication Use: PQA’s Plan for the Next Five Years

This October 9, 2025, PQA Quality Forum Webinar focused on PQA’s draft strategic plan, Blueprint PQA 2030, and the organization’s work over the last 12 months. PQA is developing its next strategic plan, Blueprint PQA 2030, which will guide the organization’s work from 2026 through 2030. PQA has developed three proposed goals that are focused on the largest and most timely opportunities facing PQA and its multi-stakeholder member organizations, who are working across the industry to improve the quality of medication use and outcomes. PQA CEO Micah Cost, PharmD, MS, CAE, discussed the draft strategic plan, reviewed insights shared by PQA members in our recent comment period and previewed the 2025 PQA Leadership Summit, which will leverage PQA members’ expertise to inform the strategies and tactics that will be key to success through 2030. PQA Director of Stakeholder Engagement, Chris Kotschevar, PharmD, CPHQ, shared highlights from the 2025 PQA Annual Report, which details PQA’s work from September 2024-August 2025. We are in the last year of PQA’s current strategic plan and our progress and lessons learned are informing our next steps to drive quality medication use. PQA Education Director Tammy Malm hosted the forum and moderate an audience question-and-answer session at the end of the webinar.
