In Part 2 of our Interlock System and ICS-9 Product Deep Dive Series, we take a closer look at the ICS-9 Laser Safety Interlock Controller. Filmed at Lasermet’s Research and Development Centre in Cebu, Philippines, Managing Director Paul Tozer walks us through a live demonstration of the ICS-9 system and explains how it functions as the central control unit of a laser safety interlock system. The ICS-9 continuously monitors critical safety devices such as door interlocks, emergency stops, beam shutters, and warning signals to ensure that a laser can only operate when all safety conditions are met. If a fault is detected, the system immediately disables the laser, helping facilities maintain a safe working environment.
