Very nice weather for January left the trails freshly dampened after a two week dry spell. Great traction in general. This is most of speedier stuff I rode and in addition, down the steepest trail in the park for the first time in years. I rode various trails, marked as chapters in the video and called out in text cards. Enjoy! Tolt-MacDonald, or more properly, Tolt Tree Farm and John MacDonald Park, are in eastern King County, WA just west of the town of Carnation. It is currently a mostly clear-cut tree farm with various ages of planted trees which abuts a county park, John MacDonald Park with old second growth trees. The contrast is stark. The trails are mostly XC and easily accessible to most intermediate riders. They are all volunteer built and maintained in the tree farm section, and the county keeps theirs reasonably well too.
