Sometimes life gets overwhelming, and I find myself weary from the struggles I face. But when I remember Calvary, I remember the depth of Jesus’ love for me. He endured the cross, bearing my sins, so that I could have hope and eternal life. Isaiah 53:5 reminds me: "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed." No matter how difficult life gets, I hold onto this truth: Jesus didn’t just die for the world—He died for me. His sacrifice means I am forgiven (1 John 1:9), I am never alone (Hebrews 13:5), and I have victory in Him (1 Corinthians 15:57). So today, I choose to fix my eyes on Calvary. I choose to remember His love, His grace, and His promise that one day, all pain will be gone (Revelation 21:4). Until then, I will press on, knowing that because of Jesus, I am redeemed. This commitment is echoed through this hymn, performed in the Kenyan local dialect; dholuo. Be blessed as you listen to it.
