Fliptendo

Originally streamed May 4, 2023. This is my streaming project "Fliptendo," in which I'm playing every NES and Famicom game in chronological order. I grew up with the NES, it's been a favorite system for a long time. The point of this project is to learn about all of the games and get a better historical perspective. While I won't beat every game, I will try to play through as many as I can, and show as much of the games off as I can. Abadox is developed by Natsume, published by Milton Bradley / Natsume. Worked on by former Konami staff, which of course is who Natsume is primarily composed of. This is their first shmup, and like Lifeforce it has a heavy "alien guts" theme, which is super cool. Penetrating a giant planet eating planet, the game features 6 full alien guts stages and various cool monsters to fight. This game is quite well made, the graphics are quite appealing. The music is good, though it could have been better. This game is known for being challenging, primarily for losing your weapons when you die and a few pretty harsh checkpoints. It's certainly not as difficult as something like R-Type, though.
