To get the blue buff to die to the pet damage, you need to delay for a bit so it hits you. Or kite differently. Sometimes the pet fucks you and doesn't hit fast enough, so you need to hit the Blue Buff an extra time (you should have enough time to react and do so after you W the Gromp though). You can technically clear Raptors with one less auto. It requires luck on the pet damage and extremely good timing for the kiting and W on Red, so it's not worth going for. You can save the smite, but you save a LOT of time by using the second smite on Krugs. It's probably not worth it to hold on to it. You can also start with W + smite instead of the three autos and it'll be about the same speed and be a little easier. Just auto the Blue Buff after draining it to ~300 and auto Gromp twice then W, then clear is the same from there (one less auto on Gromp after final drain though).
