With Ash and Iron, we got additional files and bits of the original D1 Mercury theme. Naturally, we wanted to see if we could "undo" the remix to get back to what the original thing might have been in full. This is, we're fairly certain, how it went. Though there's no way to know for sure unless Bungie implements more of it. Also, there's some artifacting and bits where stuff is bleeding through from the remix. This is due to the fact that you can't perfectly cancel out audio if compression is involved. Stem separation tools are helpful in this regard, but that tech has a ways to go before it means we can get something like this in a more "flawless" state. Destiny music is uploaded here purely for archival reasons and to give players a way to hear the full in-game mixes of tracks.
