Exploring Central Tokyo! [Ep 1]

We're spending 11 days in Tokyo, Japan! I know it sounds long, but it was the perfect amount of time to experience several different neighborhoods. We explore Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku, Koto, and Asakusa in March 2024. We stayed at Yuen Shinjuku, a modern onsen ryokan nestled in the suburbs. The first full day was dedicated to Shibuya. After experiencing the iconic Shibuya Crossing, we checked out a gachapon store, grabbed coffee, and shopped at Miyashita Park. Harajuku was filled with shopping Takeshita street and visiting Harry Harajuku Terrace, an animal cafe. The highlight of my day was coincidentally bumping into ‪@kenzomartini‬ and having the chance to chat about goals, friends, and travel! We had to try Yuen Shinjuku's breakfast before switching hotels and checking into Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel. We eventually explored Asakusa, attending a Japanese tea ceremony guided by a local and visiting Sensō-ji, before ending the day at Tokyo Skytree!
