After a long wait, it's here! The 2025 Honda NT1100 DCT delivers exactly what sport-touring riders have been asking for: a well-rounded, comfortable, and surprisingly agile machine with standard 17-inch wheels that makes light work of daily commutes and cross-country escapes alike. With a base MSRP of $11,899, the NT1100 is packed with standard touring features that other manufacturers often hold for upcharge: heated grips, cruise control, centerstand, USB charging, and a five-position adjustable windscreen. Plus, we've got Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for easier mobile integration. It’s a purpose-built touring platform, not a repurposed naked or ADV machine dressed in hard bags, unfortunately, those are an accessory option. Powered by a 1,084cc parallel-twin engine found in the lauded Africa Twin platform, the NT1100 produces a claimed 100.5 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 76.7 lb-ft of torque at 6,250 rpm. Nothing about Honda's latest NT1100 overwhelms. It aims to keep you moving, comfortably and confidently. Throttle delivery is smooth and predictable, particularly in Urban and Rain modes, while Sport mode dials up response and engine braking without becoming twitchy. The dual-clutch transmission, refined over a decade of use in Honda’s lineup, continues to be a standout feature. In automatic, the shifts are timed with uncanny accuracy, and in manual override, response via the paddle shifters is immediate. Combined with the DCT’s ability to adapt to rider input, the NT1100 proves exceptionally well suited to long, varied journeys. The preload adjustable Showa suspension is tuned for comfort and while definitely on the plushier side of things, the NT1100 can still hustle when put in the right hands. Still, we feel that it could use extra rebound and compression damping, if not the semi-active suspension offered in other markets. The riding position is relaxed without being upright-cruiser tall, and with a relatively low 32.3-inch seat height, riders of varying inseams will find confidence at stops. At 547 pounds wet, the NT1100 balances its mass well (unless some undulations get that weight moving), where stability and wind protection are top-class for the category.
