I am not a vet but have treated ear mites in the past successfully. I will give you 2 treatment options for ear mites: Treatment Option 1: Time about 2 weeks Use a pea size drop of horse ivermectin gel (Only need to do this once) Add it the the inside of the rabbits mouth or place on feed pellets. Then add olive oil to ears coated the mites- every other day for 1-2 weeks. Treatment Option 2: Time 30 days Use olive oil in ears- treat every other day for 2 weeks. Then treat 1-2 times for 2 more weeks or until cured. While doing health checks I found one of my rabbits had ear mites. They are easy to treat and you can use multiple methods to treat the ear mites. This buck escaped a few months back and we finally caught him in a live trap. So he probably picked them up from the ground. Rabbits can also get mites from hay or wood hutches. It is important to check your rabbits ears when doing monthly health checks and clipping toe nails.
