Men and women have equal risk of developing carpel tunnel syndrome. The answer is no. Women are at a higher risk of developing Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. The reasons are very many. The most common reason is thought to be the carpel tunnel, i.e. the space in which the tendons and the nerves run near the wrist is smaller in women and it is at a higher risk of being compressed. So the women have a higher risk of having imbalances, i.e. during pregnancy or may be during menstruation or menopause. Because of these kinds of fluid retention they are at a higher risk of developing carpel tunnel syndrome. However carpel tunnel syndrome also occur in men for the same reason it occur in women.
