Wednesday at the farm

Bandit boy is back! He was pretty excited to be back at the farm and catch up with all his mates from Wednesday’s pack. He took it slow today while he works on getting farm fit again. Uncle Luke saved him one of the new toys Sylvia from Texas sent us and Bandit was stoked! We’re glad to have you back buddy. Little Elly the Red Heeler puppy is still very shy and scared of the other dogs but she made a lot of progress today. We find there’s several stages of settling in for young dogs who are not confident socially. The first stage can take some time over several farm trips where they simply become comfortable and familiar with the pack until they feel safe. Once this happens they begin to come out of their shell, they show confidence and we see their personality and behaviour emerge. It’s not until then that we’re able to guide them in how to play and behave in a pack. Elly made a big leap today and we’re super proud of you Elly well done! The afternoon pool sesh! Well to say it was fun would be an understatement! The heated magnesium pool is an absolute hit. The dogs love it and it’s so good for them. Win win. We love seeing them enjoy anything it’s what we get a kick out of, and this new addition to the farm is a success! Woohoo! And I’m doing something a little different today. Today’s video is dedicated to Austin. The son of one of our followers here on Facebook. He and his mum enjoyed watching the farm doggy videos together. So very sadly, he tragically passed away only weeks ago at a very young age ... and so in today’s video are a few of his favourite songs. Our condolences to his family.
