Where can a course at East Durham College's Houghall campus take you? For Andrew Nesbitt, a course in arboriculture (tree surgery) has gave him a hugely rewarding career as the Head Curator of Parks, Gardens and Landscapes at The Auckland Project. This video was filmed on location with Andy at The Auckland Project visitor destination, Bishop Auckland, which encompasses seven distinct sites - a 150-acre Deer Park, Mining Art Gallery and Auckland Tower visitor centre which are all now open to the public, 900-year-old Auckland Castle, which opens in 2019 and a Spanish Gallery, Faith Museum and re-imagined 17th century Walled Garden, which are all under development.
