Episode 804 Dolores the Donkey is being kept in the backyard of the corner shop. Maggie (Irene Sutcliffe) grows uneasy about it, especially when customer Polly Sagan (Nita Valerie) makes a pointed comment about the shop’s source of meat. Gordon (Bill Kenwright) demands the Donkey be removed. Dot (Joan Francis) tells Elsie (Pat Phoenix) she only wants a bit of fun with Gregg (Bill Nagy). Emily (Eileen Derbyshire) is forced to ask Annie (Doris Speed) if Dolores can stay in the Rover’s backyard, but Annie point-blank refuses to house livestock on the premises and is furious when Lucille (Jennifer Moss) tells her the donkey is already in the yard. Audrey (Gillian McCann) models in her bikini, much to Gordon’s delight. Emily refuses to move Dolores, but Annie threatens her with eviction. Dot and Gregg are interrupted by a phone call at No.11, it’s Steve Tanner (Paul Maxwell) and he wants Elsie.
