Check out our Reverb listing: https://reverb.com/item/46735881-ludw... Here is superbly clean and rare 60's Ludwig Jazzette outfit in a stunning Black Galaxy Sparkle wrap! Sizes and serial numbers are: 12x18" (#126785), 8x12" (#518023), 14x14" (#126787), and 5x14". The matching jazz fest snare drum is pre-serial. These are incredibly clean with polished chrome, nice interiors and bearing edges, functional tone controls where applicable, and wrap that is nearly free of cosmetic wear with the exception of some tom rash on the 8x12" (pictured). Its rail consolette is centered on the bass drum and functions smoothly. This is a stunning set of vintage Ludwig Jazzettes! Steve’s notes: I know this set well since I sold it to the current owner about 10 years ago and am thrilled to have it back to offer to a new owner. The set is truly stunning. I have never seen another black galaxy sparkle Jazzette set, and the stunning condition of this set is an extra ‘plus’. This is truly the finest known example in this finish and sizes. The small amount of snare rub on the 12 is the only thing keeping this set from being dead mint. Strong vibrant color, gleaming hardware. And, ultra rare true Jazzette sizes with the coveted 12x18 bass drum, 8x12, 14x14 and the matching Jazz Fest snare. As all Ludwig collectors know, proper Jazzette sets are rare in any finish, but in this finish and this condition we’re dealing with a true Holy Grail for Ludwig collectors. Not to be missed.
