Surprises rebuilding 40 year old Forklift tilt cylinder

I rebuilt the tilt cylinders on a 1982 Hyster H150F (H-150-F) forklift. I hadn't rebuilt cylinders before, so if I can do it, anyone can. I ran into a few problems. The second cylinder I rebuilt did not match the seal kit. So either Hyster installed a cylinder for an older model or someone replaced it with a used cylinder at some point. I took the old seals into a hydraulic repair shop and had them order me new ones, alternatively you can order new seals from Hercules (https://www.herculesus.com/ USA, https://herculesca.ca/ Canada) if you know what seals to order. The seal kit is part number 652653, but again this only matched one of my cylinders. The second problem I ran into was with the cap on the second cylinder, it was damaged by a previous owner and a bit difficult to get off. While getting it off I damaged it more, I did manage to repair it. The last problem I had was getting the gland end pass the threads when reinstalling, see the video for how I did it. There are definitely better cylinder rebuild videos out there, but hopefully this might help someone with one of these old Hysters.
