A day after the Supreme Court of India scrapped the electoral bonds scheme, the Congress party's bank accounts were frozen by the Income Tax Department. However, just an hour later, the party made an announcement that the accounts were unfrozen after the party filed an appeal with the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) Delhi. The tribunal will hear the matter next Wednesday before a final decision is taken.
