We, however, stick to the city centre, the marina, and the old town, while we visit the walled city. Notice the typical architectural style, with most outward facing walls painted white. This is very typical of southern Portuguese buildings, inheriting some traces of Islamic art and pragmatism, as the temperatures (and the Sun) in the Algarve are much hotter than in northern Portugal. To the point, I myself got a sunburn while walking through Faro... XD I hope you enjoy this walk as much as I did.
