Wiener Portaluhr, Zifferblatt markiert "FRERES ZOLLER À VIENNE" mit im Sockel integriertem Musikspielwerk von Franz RZEBITSCHEK IN PRAG, um 1847. Werknummer: 22536, Musiknummer: 1947. Höhe der Uhr: 57 cm. Die Portaluhr ist von ungewöhnlicher Form und statt von Alabastersäulen wird das Uhrwerk von 2 Marmorsäulen getragen. Meist sind die Gehäuse der österreichischen Portaluhren schwarz lackiert, hier jedoch ist die Oberfläche mit intarsiertem Edelholzfurnier veredelt. Im Sockel befindet sich eine Spieluhr mit 2 Musikstücken von Franz Rzebitschek. Das Musikprogramm besteht aus 2 sehr selten gespielten Opern. Verdis Oper Alzira erlebte erst 1998 in Deutschland und 2010 in der Schweiz die Uraufführung. Donizettis Oper Mari Padilla ist ebenfalls eine fast in Vergessenheit geratene Oper. Im deutschsprachigen Raum ist seit 1847 keine Aufführung mehr bekannt. Und das, obwohl Donizetti von seiner Komposition sehr schwärmte. Hiermit erfolgt für Donizetti eine posthume Ehrung für sein Werk und für den Zuhörer eine späte Uraufführung. Das Spielwerk war im Uhrensockel ca. 176 Jahre lang geschützt und unberührt geborgen. Am Kamm sind noch die originalen Dämpfer und es sind keinerlei Restaurationen und Revisionen sichtbar. Ich habe bisher lediglich ca. 20 Stifte nachbestiftet und einige verbogene Stifte auf der Walze gerichtet. Reinigung und das Ersetzen von Dämpfern erfolgt noch. (Eigene Sammlung) Musikprogramm: 1. The mechanism remained untouched in the clock base for around 178 years. The original dampers are still on the comb and no restorations or revisions are visible.
