Thank you very much for watching my videos! 🌹 If you just met me, it's a pleasure to meet you! My name is Liana, I'm a software engineer, I've been working and living in Switzerland since 2009. I'm a mother, I take care of my son alone, we travel the world and here I tell a little about our life in these parts. Welcome to the channel! This channel came from the late Ela é Americana blog from South America with lots of tips about Switzerland, tours, travels around the world, lifestyle, day-to-day life and motherhood abroad. ❓ Why the name of the channel? When I was a child in the Brazilian northeast, there was a cheesy song that went like this: She's American... from South America. When I was a teenager, after I returned from an exchange program in the US and started teaching English, some friends said that I spoke English like an American. And remembering the song, I said: yes, I'm American... but from South America! I came to Switzerland alone, on my own in 2009, with a work contract in hand and many dreams to fulfill. Without European citizenship and without knowing anyone, I started my life from scratch here, seeking quality of life. I've always worked in my field (IT), which I value very much, and I only stopped working on maternity leave, after my son was born. I'm not and never have been married, but I've made motherhood the biggest priority in my life, even though I can't give up my job, which is what supports me and gives me the right to have the life I have here.
