Notated in video and description below) Dante's Inferno was released in 2010. For those who are unaware, when this game was first released, it was dubbed a God of War clone. In my opinion, that really hurt the reputation of the game. People made it seem as if it was merely a cheap GoW knockoff. On top of that, Dante's Inferno released the same year as the highly anticipated God of War 3 (2010). So it was a perfect storm for it to not live up to its potential. When taking a deeper look, however, you quickly realize how great Dante's Inferno really is as an action game. It actually does some things better than God of War with regards to combat variety and level design. Yeah, the storyline is on the weaker side. But it is good enough to push the narrative. Most gamers who are fans of the action genre universally agree that Dante's Inferno is very underrated. Arguably the most underrated game of the PS3/360 era. This video is a full game walkthrough of Dante's Inferno on Infernal mode (max difficulty). This run was done from scratch, starting at Level 1 and 0 souls. The enemies on Infernal difficulty are extremely powerful and you usually die from just a couple of hits. Also, the enemies have much more health and take forever to kill. So why did I choose to suffer? The reason I decided to do a Level 1 run on Infernal is because I wanted newcomers to appreciate the HOLY and UNHOLY aspects of the skill tree. As Dante continues his journey through hell (literally), players have to choose how they want to level up. I tried to keep a nice balance of Holy and Unholy skills so the audience could understand what the game has to offer. Another reason to play on Infernal is so that the viewers can get to see an actual struggle through the firery pits of hell. There are simply too many walkthroughs with players playing on the easier difficulty settings, button mashing their way to the end. This doesn't do the game justice. Unfortunately, a single playthrough alone does not allow you to max out all of Dante's Holy and Unholy skills to Level 7. So you won't see everything in just a single playthrough. The game is simply too short and you do not receive enough souls. Believe me... I tried.  Getting everything unlocked and maxed will no doubt require more than 1 playthrough. Even if you do somehow manage to unlock everything on a single run [from scratch], you won't have all the upgrades until you're at the very end of the game. So an NG+ run is necessary to see everything the game has to offer. Note 1: If you want to see a maxed out Dante, stay tuned for a NG+ run in the future. I will showcase Dante's full arsenal. I will release a NG+ walkthrough if this video hits 100k views. Note 2: I did not spam cross attacks. I also did not spam Divine Armor. I know there are purists out there who will appreciate this. Missed items: During this run, I missed 1 relic (Hoarder's Purse) and 1 coin. All other collectibles were acquired. Dont worry... I added the missed locations at the end of the video for those of you who are trying to get a 100%. So you can definitely use this video as a guide if you wish.
