Read description first Doing Ryu's Classic Mode run. "I get mighty jealous when the bosses mess with the normal route settings to give something special to some fighters," Palutena said. "I wish I could get a rework like Ryu's, but sadly, I just don't have something to rework my own route..." she lamented, though Ryu could only raise an eyebrow at her strange plea. "Boo hoo," both Viridi and Chris said. "But that's for the complaint box to take care of," she said, brightening up. "Let's talk about Ryu's route." "Let's not," Ryu said. Palutena giggled. "No, no, let's." "No. I don't see how interesting it'd be to talk when we could fight instead." "..." Palutena sighed, shaking her head. "You know, I know you're supposed to be a no-nonsense fighter of the streets who only cares about fighting others, but you need to unwind now and then. I swear, I can talk about your route so much." "That would be a waste of my time," Ryu said, making Palutena narrow her eyes. "If you didn't bring me here to challenge me, I have no reason to prolong this discussion." "I should've known I'd get so far saying 'I challenge you to a discussion', but that train crashed right now," Palutena said. "Fine, have it your way. I'd give you a challenge just for the sake of commenting on SOMETHING." At that moment, Chris's Lucario came walking in, looking curious. "Luckily, I came prepared." "What the... What are you doing here?" Chris asked Lucario. "Palutena told me that something bad was going to happen to you if I didn't come," Lucario said. "...Granted, something psychologically wrong happens too often to you when you're with her, but this time, she worried me." "Ahh. So you have come here to fight me," Ryu said, looking interested. "What? Oh... No, not really," Lucario said. Ryu glanced at Palutena. "...I wouldn't mind, though. Our sparring sessions are very enlightening to me." "No, this sounds very dishonest if this was set up as a trap for me to amuse her," Ryu said, looking stern at Palutena. "You better not try to pull something funny on me again, unless you wish to fight me yourself and give me something worth looking forward to." With that said, he walked away. "Dang. I expected a fight brought by misunderstanding alone," Palutena said. "Guess these two don't have skulls that thick..." Lucario growled and advanced to her, only stopped by Chris's hand. "You really love trying to get your way," Viridi said. "...Okay, I like getting my way too." The two high-fived in agreement, making Chris and Lucario roll their eyes in annoyance. Key Notes: Classic Mode Overview (repeated in every other character video) Unlike before, you will never start your difficulty at the maximum difficulty (9.9). The limit you can start is at 5.0. However, depending on how well you do in every fight, the difficulty will steadily increase. The factors that contribute an increase are if you... 1) ...finished the fight as quickly as possible. 2) ...didn't stay put or mess around. 3) ...actually managed to avoid damage altogether (meaning a perfect run, which doesn't really guarantee an extra point). At best, you can get a whole point (or more) added to difficulty. At worst, you get nothing. "Nice Plays" may just be compliments that usually are around 0.8 additions. Do your best to get to the end of the mural. Using tickets avoids losing difficulty, but in case the difficulty is still increasing, you'll get a 0.1 increase if you win a match...and never reach 9.9. Oh, and you only get ONE life. Lose it, and you'll either spend money to continue while losing difficulty, use a Ticket without the drawback, or simply give up. Classic Mode runs for every character aren't the same anymore. Instead of random setups, every character has a set path revolving around a theme. No differences will be made if you retry the same route. Moreover, the final boss may or may not be unique to every fighter. It may be Master Hand and/or Crazy Hand, but it can be someone else. Ryu's Final Boss The hands. You expected, what, some guy named Sagat? Of note about Ryu's route is that it is set up as a Street Fighter route done as Stamina battles (with the bonus game set earlier, trying to be the car wrecking mini-game, keyword being "trying") one after another, so either you deplete the opponent's HP or you somehow manage to toss them off the stage for a quick win. Ken will assist you for the final bosses, and he can prove to be a tremendous help in taking them down. Watch, enjoy, and comment, everyone.
