How to paint your signature, which is the final step in your painting, sets many artists in a quandary. Painting small signs, letters or even signing you name can be problematic with acrylic paint as it does not flow as easily as oils or watercolors. In the final touches for this commissioned still life of Tabasco bottles and lemons, I put the labels on the bottles.. add few final details and sign my name. Painting is a journey, and in this 10 minute tutorial on final details, we explore what works and sometimes what doesn't. New artists need to relax and give themselves a break if the outcome of the artwork does not meet expectations the first couple of attempts. Just know mistakes have happened to all artists at one time or another (if not every painting) but nothing is painted in stone and can be easily changed. In this short demo, we look for and discover creative solutiions. Materials: Artist tape, Drafting crepe tape, Prismacolor primier pens (grass green)and (scarlet lake) Beste Liner Creative Mark Brush #4 Titanium White, Cad Red Medium, Cad Yellow Medium, and Phalo Blue Sturcture Matissee acrylic paint Note: the entire still life was painted with my normal palette of colors found on my weekly artlesson web site: www.gingercooklive.gallery
