“Monk Tobi & the Vampire Prince” is a tribute to my very first Dungeons & Dragons character — Monk Tobi — a scarred, stubborn, chaotic hero who grew with me through countless sessions, campaigns, and unforgettable moments at the table. This song is based directly on one of Monk Tobi’s most legendary encounters: the night he struck a perfect blow against a mysterious stranger in a fog-covered harbor… only to discover he had punched straight into the body of Vampire Prince Morfail, ruler of the city, who didn’t even flinch. What followed was danger, tension, dark humor, unexpected friendship — and a story that became a running joke in our group for years. This track captures that exact spirit: epic, mystical, and told through the voice of an old, worn, but powerful storyteller.
