At PAX West 2025, we had the chance to meet with Bandai Namco to preview their upcoming game Digimon Story: Time Stranger. The first two hours of the demo was spent in the beginning stages of the game that is now available in the public demo. These first three parts introduces the games core mechanics, shows some of the beginning digimon, and introduces the player to Cross-Arts. The second three videos showcase gameplay elements in the Abyss further into the game and is not an accurate depiction of where you will be when reaching the Abyss; this is only to showcase different elements in the game, including but not limited to the story, the Digifarm, Digimon Card Game, Riding Digimon, and using Digimon to traverse difficult terrain. These also show off the rivaling factions as well as guest Party members. The game also introduces the surprise encounters mechanic.
