Ghala Flag Hike – C-39 Jabel Heed | 10 Oct 2025

With October rolling in, the summer heat is finally easing up — which means time for some tougher trails! 💪 This morning, 30 Adventure Buddies took on the Ghala Flag Hike (Jabel Heed C-39) — short but seriously steep! The trail may be only 1.8 km (around 900 meters each way), but don’t be fooled — we climbed a solid 305 meters of elevation, equal to 87 floors! 🧗‍♀️🔥 The route passes through three summits, each with stunning views over Ghubra, Azaiba, and the coastline. We started early at 5:40 AM, about 20 minutes before sunrise — smart move since the trail is completely exposed to the sun. Everyone made it to the second summit, and about ten brave souls pushed on to the third, which has a bit of a tricky climb and descent. And of course — a huge shoutout to Nitin Sood for his signature karak chai! ☕ Nothing beats a warm cup of tea with mountain views. Fun fact: this was the very trail where Nitin first started bringing chai for the group! ❤️ We spent around half an hour at the top soaking in the views, snapping photos, and just enjoying the peace before heading back down. The weather was still hot and dry with little breeze, but much better than the peak summer months. We wrapped up the hike in just 2 hours — strong finish by everyone!
