A large group of individuals composed of the victim’s families and former political prisoners who survived the mass killings will participate in the trial. They will testify against a crime that has been kept secret from the public for 25 years. After 25 years of silence, for the first time in history, survivors and relatives of the victims of a mass atrocity establishes a People’s Court. They do this while the accused one’s still rule the country. Those responsible for the executions now hold high government office in Iran. Their secret would be safe, if it was not for the efforts of some survivors.
