Chicago performs Old Days featuring the beautiful vocal by Neil Donnell at the Baycare Sound in Clearwater, Florida on April 11, 2025. Old Days was written by James Pankow and was the closing track and second single on Chicago VIII, Chicago's seventh studio album, released in March 1975. Chicago VIII went to number one on the US Billboard Hot 200. Old Days peaked at number 5 on the the US Billboard Hot 100. While Peter Cetera was in the band, they stopped performing Old Days live because Cetera refused to sing it as he thought the lyrics were too corny.
