Demo of the GFI specular reverb pedal with the SCI Prophet 5 rev. 3.3. The GFI specular reverb pedal is a great ambient reverb effect with 7 algorithms, you can create classic hall but also shimmering, voice, echo (delay), modulation and tremolo effects, so a big array of sounds. I would say it is a competitor to the well known and already legendary Strymon Big Sky. I used the Big Sky several years and still like it. But I sold it after purchasing the Specular, cause I prefer its sound. It is a fantastic pedal for ambient stuff. It sounds very warm also in more extrem settings. The specular has two audio ins (you also can use one as mono) and two audio outs, so it is very capable for synthesizers (also such with stereo signal). GFI is a quite new company from Indonesia. They have also other quite interesting pedals, like the clockwork delay (it is also fantastic IMO). In this video I just tweak around on the presets. The algorithms in the settings you can see on the left diode. In the right of the screen you can see an overview of the standard algorithms to check, which algorithm is set. For further informations figure out the description in the manual on the website of GFI. When you see only the Prophet 5, you get the dry signal, if the second screen with the pedal occurs, you listen the wet signal. I didn't use any further effects or mastering in this Video. The outs of the specular are going directly to my Apogee Symphony I/O. The synthesizer is a Prophet 5 Rev. 3.3 (Curtis chips). I created some own patches on it for demonstrating the GFI specular reverb. If you have any questions, please ask in the comments. Thanks for watching and listening.
