I thought getting up and maybe skipping breakfast was okay, 'cause that meant if I'm not eating a lot, hopefully I should be losing weight. But it was the opposite. Every meal I skipped, it was just screwing up my metabolism. The Jenny Craig program has been really good for me in that it's all about balance. It's not about restriction. There were times where I would say, "Oh well I didn't eat my snack because I had such a big breakfast." And my consultant would say, "No. Get your calories in. You need to eat, eat, eat." I think there's this myth that if you starve yourself, you'll lose. It's not the healthy way to do it. And it's certainly not the long-term way to do it. I needed that education. And I needed to know that just calorie restriction is not going to cut it. I didn't cut it for me. The things that I gained on the program, are things that I'm gonna have forever. And that's living a healthier life, and being a happier person. My life changed.
