How to Turn Leftover Beans Into Refried Beans (Fast + Easy!) This took time because the soup was from scratch yesterday… but TODAY I turned leftovers into a whole new game day dip. I had leftover 15-bean soup with smoked sausage, so I turned it into thick “refried-style” beans and made a baked cheesy football dip! All you do is reheat, strain, simmer to thicken, mash it up, then top with cheese and jalapeños and bake until melted. Perfect game day snack with chips, salsa, or pico on the side.
