FILIPINO FAMILY TRIP TO BATANGAS WITH MY WIFE... Lots of floating cottages, mangroves with hidden viewdecks, plenty of resorts, and colorful calming sunsets... Had a quick getaway with Therine's family to Calatagan, Batangas for a birthday of her brothers wife. This was actually my first time along this section of coastline. I completely understand why families come here from Metro Manila or other nearby provinces. The area is relaxed and full of various resorts... from fancy to simple family friendly. There are lots of safe and fun areas to swim and for kids to connect with the ocean. It was great for me being "Tito Kulas" to my Pamangkins. At one point I ended up jogging into town... Just past the market there was a jump off for floating cottages. And grabe, was there ever a lot! It was like Edsa of banana boats and boats towing balsa. Nearby I also spotted the coolest looking sunset viewdeck amongst mangroves. I didn't take photos, but the kakanin in the market were great! Clearly Calatagan is a wonderful place for a family fun day and birthday! Happy Birthday Aisha! FLOATING COTTAGES ARE EVERYWHERE HERE...
