Turn a brownfield network into an automation‑ready inventory using Slurp'it for discovery and Infrahub for data management. In this demo session, we start from an empty source of truth, discover real devices, normalize and map the data, diff and merge into Infrahub with CI checks, then push a VLAN change and reconcile it back. What you’ll see step by step: ➡️ Slurp'it discovers devices fast with ping or port scan and SNMP fingerprinting. No MIBs required. You get vendor, model, serial, OS, and device type selection for the right Netmiko driver. ➡️ Plannings gather LLDP, VRFs, interfaces, software versions, and more on a schedule. TextFSM templates normalize CLI output into structured data. You can tune columns and data to match your model. ➡️ Infrahub Sync maps Slurp'it data to your Infrahub schema with a single YAML file. Define order of operations, transforms, filters, and relationships. Generate diffs, review changes, and sync safely into a branch. ➡️ Infrahub’s proposed change flow runs schema integrity checks and surfaces a clean diff before merge. You get version history, review, and CI confidence. ➡️ Netpicker demonstrates change execution with two paths: a simple CLI-style job that generates Python code, and an AI-assisted job generator. Backups and change history verify the outcome. ➡️ A quick rescan captures the new VLANs and we sync them back into Infrahub, closing the loop. We discuss automating this pipeline on a schedule.
