BUNS N' ROSES—locally known as 麵包與玫瑰樂團—are a Taiwanese GUNS N' ROSES tribute band from Taipei City in Taiwan. "Nightrain" is the band's cover version of the eponymous song by American rock band GUNS N' ROSES; the song was featured on their debut studio album 'Appetite for Destruction' in 1987. According to Wikipedia, "Nightrain" is a tribute to an infamous brand of cheap Californian fortified wine, 'Night Train Express', which was extremely popular with the band during their early days because of its low price and high alcohol content. The title is spelled differently, omitting one of the 'T's between "Night" and "Train", and removing the space, making a single portmanteau of the two words. The song was ranked eighth on Guitar World's list of the "Top 10 Drinking Songs". BUNS N' ROSES performed on DAY 1 of the 9th KENTING GRASS ROOTS FESTIVAL (墾丁草根音樂會) in southern Taiwan. This popular festival was a two-day live music event held on the Hengchun Peninsular near the southern tip of Taiwan. It took place on April 25-26, 2021. A total of 20 Taiwanese bands performed there. The KENTING GRASS ROOTS FESTIVAL is known for its exuberant crowds and great atmosphere (only slightly damped by the occasional rain shower this year).
