Kilnsey to Malham Cove via Malham Tarn and Gordale Scar

I couldn't have asked for a sunnier April Bank holiday weekend. We started this 30km walk from the little village of Kilnsey and headed over the hills to Malham Tarn where we sat and had lunch overlooking the lake. From there we ventured through varying and dramatic landscape to come out on top of the popular Malham Cove. From there we followed the busy trail to Gordale Scar where we scrambled up the side of the waterfall and through a narrow valley with steps etched into the rock. This got us back onto the hills where we enjoyed a more peaceful walk back to Kilnsey. This was a fantastic full days walk and I was grateful for the good weather as the waterfall scramble could potentially be a lot riskier in damp conditions.
